SO WHAT'S NEXT?

Experiences lead to more questions

LEARNING HOW TO COX FOR A COLLEGIATE ROWING TEAM WAS HARD. I messed up, I embarrassed myself, but most importantly I grew. I learned about new passions that I had that I never knew about and I felt an exhilarating drive to try another new thing and see what else I could discover about myself.

I've always been curious about the mass of neuronal cells and axonal connections in our scull that we call our brains. I'm a neuroscience major and find myself questioning how my brain works every day. How do our brains know what emotions to express? How do our brains process stimuli and develop perceptions? And the most intriguing question to me is... How do our brains actually learn and help us to grow?

It sounds silly, but do you ever really think about what it means to learn and grow? Personal growth is not explicitly definable, but personal growth is a result of learning and we can define how our brains learn. My goal with this project is to educate people about how important new experiences are to learning and growing.
